Valheim finally presents Mistlands with a trailer for the biggest update to date of this Viking RPG

Valheim was one of those games that managed to be on everyone’s lips for a few days after its release, something that was reflected in a more than excellent level of sales. After all, the Viking survival games from Iron Gate and Coffee Stain went from 6.8 million units sold in 2 months to 8 million in 5 months, something that did not stop the determination of those responsible for implementing more content.

This is demonstrated with the first trailer of its biggest update to date, which expands the game’s biome system with the introduction of Mistlands, a mysterious environment that stands out for its dense fog. Here we will find different enemies that will take advantage of the particular climate of the area to attack us by surprise, as well as a new boss, non-hostile characters and new construction materials.

One of the other notable aspects of the update, which can be played right now in Public Testing, is the implementation of a magical system. According to the data shared by the authors of the game, we will have the possibility of performing mystical attacks if we consume special foods that contain an ancient substance called Eitr, which in turn allows us to control Elemental and Blood magic.

As if this were not enough, from Iron Gate they also ensure that the patch goes beyond the Mistlands territory to readjust some of the mechanics already known in the survival title. In this sense, the update introduces more manufacturing plans to decorate our house with new furniture and an improvement in the fishing system.

Valheim gives us good excuses to return to its Viking RPG action

Valheim has been with us since February of last year, but that does not mean that its developers have run out of ideas to attract new audiences. Because, leaving aside the contents of this great update, it should be remembered that the Vikings have landed on PC Game Pass this fall, with a version for Xbox and Xbox Game Pass that will be released sometime in 2023.

This has been more than enough reason to return to this RPG action, which has been an opportunity to check all the changes implemented so far. And in our return to Valheim , the game still has those features that make us want to recommend it to everyone.
