The Uncharted series will supposedly have a big reboot
The well-known ‘insider’ Tom Henderson echoes information published by ‘TheLeak’, which cites two independent sources to talk about this Uncharted series ‘reboot’.
A reboot or restart of the Uncharted series is supposedly in development. The information comes from the relatively unknown website The Leak, which cites two independent anonymous sources to talk about this project. However, the renowned insider Tom Henderson has echoed this news through Insider Gaming. Of course, PlayStation has not commented on it.
The aforementioned medium does not provide many details about the project, beyond the fact that Sony and PlayStation Studios gave the green light to the reboot of the saga this year, and that an unknown studio will be in charge of that game. Naughty Dog, those responsible for the series so far, will offer support to that studio. It will not be the first Uncharted cooked outside of Naughty Dog, as Bend Studio was in charge of Uncharted: The Golden Abyss.
Visual Arts is creating its first game in collaboration with Naughty Dog
We do not know if this information is directly related to the one revealed at the end of October, although there are similarities. At that time, a job offer was published that revealed that Visual Arts, a Sony studio in charge of supporting the developments of other firms, was forming a development studio . That document added that the team is collaborating with Naughty Dog . To round things off, a few days later another job offer was published specifying that this new studio is working on “a much-loved series” that “is currently being co-developed with Naughty Dog.”
Although it was never officially confirmed, information from Bloomberg revealed before its official announcement the remake The Last of Us Part I, which began its development entirely in the hands of PlayStation Visual Arts, and was later transferred to Naughty Dog.
Naughty Dog is also working on three new projects. One of them is a multiplayer game set in the world of The Last of Us.
