Street Fighter 6: High level gameplay in a 6 minutes video

Read Time:1 Minute, 46 Second

Capcom developers take control of Ken, Ryu, Luke and Jamie to show off their moves and special attacks in two close-quarters matches of Street Fighter 6.

Street Fighter 6 is heating up engines ahead of its release in 2023 for PC , PS5 , Xbox Series and PS4. Game Informer is publishing this November exclusive information and gameplay of the fighting game. The North American media published last Friday a video of more than six minutes where, without comment, two fights are shown: one of Ken against Ryu, and another of Luke against Jamie . You can see it below.

The two confrontations show plays at the highest level. Not surprisingly, it is the Capcom developers themselves who control the four aforementioned characters, who are part of a cast of 18 fighters at the launch of the game. Thus, the fights reflect the particularities of each of the contenders, their unique abilities (for example, the empowerment and change in Jamie’s attacks as he drinks vials, which also changes the length of his hair) and the most powerful attacks.

One of the most curious information that has come out has to do with the different control styles. We already knew that there will be a traditional one and a modernized one, which facilitates the execution of combos, but reduces maneuverability. To them we must add another that will only be available in local games and is intended for “button mashers” .

The beta showed that Capcom is going “in the right direction”

Capcom held a first closed beta for next-generation consoles and PC in October. Not all the content was there, such as the ambitious single-player mode, but it did serve to play with various characters in online mode.
Lots of options and modes, a varied and charismatic squad, interesting and weighty playable news , a luxury online and a spectacular audiovisual direction are its current letters of introduction, so we can only cross our fingers so that nothing fails in the final release and ends up claiming, as is expected, the throne of a genre capable of arousing passions like few others.
