Splinter Cell Remake will bet on stealth with the option to finish the game without killing anyone

It was an open secret, but that did not stop thousands of players from being excited with the confirmation that Splinter Cell Remake is a reality. This long-awaited return, developed by Ubisoft Toronto, gives us the opportunity to start over again one of the most iconic stealth adventures in the sector, and the celebration of the saga’s 20th anniversary has been reason enough for its authors to reveal more information about the project.

This time we focus on the words of Andy Schmoll, senior designer at Splinter Cell Remake. According to his words in Ubisoft’s commemorative video, it will be up to the player to decide whether opponents should live or die : “[The developers] wanted to give the player a few more opportunities to reduce some of these situations.”, which acts as an additional complement in a strategy that not only introduces the possibility of finishing the game without killing anyone, but also bets on that stealth system that was so special in the original.

Chris Auty, creative director, also participates in the interview to confirm that the game will have additions in the form of new gadgets and movements that will add flexibility to the experience. After all, it is important to remember that the saga has always opted to avoid conflicts in pursuit of stealth, which is why the community criticized Splinter Cell: Conviction and its decision to dispense with non-lethal methods to get rid of enemies.

More details of Splinter Cell Remake

For now, we will have to wait for Ubisoft to confirm more information about its Splinter Cell Remake, which, although it does not have a release date, has already specified that it will undergo some change compared to the original game which you can also get for free this Black Friday.
