Project: Playtime free-to-play multiplayer game arrives in December

The creators of Poppy Playtime have announced a 6v1 asymmetrical multiplayer game named Project: Playtime coming to PC on December 6th as free-to-play and early access.

Poppy Playtime was released at the end of last year, and since then it has become a mass phenomenon: the horror game from Mob Games has been gaining popularity to such an extent that the dolls of the main monster have become one of the most desired by children around the world. Now those responsible for this successful franchise have announced that they are working on a new project , called ‘ Project: Playtime ‘, consisting of an asymmetric multiplayer of six against one .

Mob Games anticipated the announcement yesterday with a first cinematic trailer that already anticipated that it could be a multiplayer game. Finally, today they have published a second gameplay trailer in which it is confirmed that, indeed, Project: Playtime is an asymmetric multiplayer in which six people play in a group trying to put together a giant toy while a monster, controlled by another person alone, tries to hunt them down

Early Access, Three Monsters, and Battle Pass

The game is going to be released in early access on December 6th, so we can expect new updates to arrive as its open development progresses. For now we know that Project: Playtime is going to have some of the essential features of Poppy Playtime, including extendable hands that allow us to interact with the stage. Of course, among the monsters that we can control are Huggy Wuggy and Mommy Long Legs, as well as a new character called Boxy Boo . Each will have their own set of skills.

As it is a game as a service, Project: Playtime will introduce different progress systems such as a series of coins (which can only be obtained by playing, they ensure that there will be no pay-to-win to improve the abilities of our characters. There will also be options such as a 100-level battle pass and a cosmetic item shop to customize agents. They promise seasons and a constant update of content.

Project: Playtime will be released on December 6 on PC via Steam as early access. At the end of this news you can see a gallery with the first images of the game.
