Primitive: New survival game that takes place in the Stone Age
Primitive: Compare it to Far Cry Primal but oriented more towards survival, construction and hunting; It’s coming to PC and maybe consoles.
Primitive is a new open world survival game coming to PC and already has a page available on Steam. The Polish studio Games Box has presented its first trailer, images and information, although the details of its release and possible version for consoles will be announced in the future.
As you can see in the gameplay , this is a single player adventure set in the Stone Age , which involves living in harsh weather conditions, fighting mammoths, sabertooths, and hostile Neanderthal tribes. It will combine elements of survival, combat, exploration, hunting and construction, both of tools and of our base.
The project is still in its first phase of development but the team compares it with Far Cry Primal -the spin-off of Far Cry 4 released in 2016-, enhancing the simulation aspects. It is created with Unreal Engine 5 and will cover various territories, from the most fertile and warm to snowy hills.
A fight against the forces of nature
In Primitive we will have to choose and manufacture our clothes, weapons, equipment, shelter and much more. The dynamic weather system will keep the world in constant flux . “The Stone Age is an irresistible time. The lives of the first people were dominated by savage forces and the world was filled with imminent danger like no other. Primitive ‘s open world will combine brutal survival with elements typical of other genres to create a unique combination”, say its creators.
The beautiful but hostile world of Primitive guarantees situations of extreme danger, including stealth and life and death duels. Collect the necessary resources and create new combat tools. Thanks to the rich arsenal you will not only face humans but also giant animals, obtaining invaluable food and materials.
