Marvel’s Midnight Suns releases launch trailer for PC, PS5 & Xbox Series
Firaxis Games strategy game, Midnight Suns launches this week, at least on PC and the latest consoles; the rest will have to wait until 2023.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns goes on sale on December 2 on PS5, Xbox Series and PC, and for this reason 2K and Firaxis have released the launch trailer for this strategy game with Marvel characters. Release dates for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch versions will be announced at a later date.
The trailer shows the devastating effects of Lilith’s successful conquest of the Sanctum Santorum, unleashing the forces of the underworld on Earth. Only the might of Hunter and the Midnight Suns will stand a fighting chance to save the world.
Additionally, the thirteenth and final playable character in the Marvel’s Midnight Suns base game has been revealed: Hulk. This powerful ally will be available to unlock in-game, bringing incredible strength and stamina to any squad.
From the creators of the critically acclaimed tactical series XCOM comes an engaging, highly customizable card-based combat system that rewards good strategy with a Super Hero twist, the publisher says. Deploy your team of Super Heroes in turn-based tactical missions. Use your environment, move across the battlefield and execute the perfect shot or combo, then unleash devastating attacks with your special abilities to gain the upper hand in each epic showdown. Enjoy a unique and exciting experience with a combination of elements of tactical games and card-based combat.
Midnight Suns shows off a hilarious loop, that it is always rewarding us for everything we do, that it makes good use of the Casa de las Ideas licenses and that it knows how to challenge us with some deep, well-designed and tremendously stimulating combats. We still have a lot of game ahead of us and it remains to be seen if the story as such manages to take off and if its proposal remains fresh until the end, but if you are Marvel fans and you like the tactical role by turns, you would do well not to lose track of him, for he aims very high.
