Final Fantasy XVI: Square Enix addresses speculation about the PC version
Naoki Yoshida, producer of the Square Enix video game, says that “no one has said a word” about the release of Final Fantasy XVI on PC and encourages players to buy a PS5.
Final Fantasy XVI, the next installment in the action role-playing saga created by Square Enix, will be released as an exclusive title for a minimum period of six months for PlayStation 5 on June 22. Given the doubts of the players about whether the video game will also be released on other platforms after the aforementioned period, Naoki Yoshida, its producer, has encouraged those who are interested in the new installment of Final Fantasy to purchase a PS5 since none of those responsible for the project “has said a word” about its release on PC.

“No one has said a word about the release of a PC version. Why does it seem like the PC version will come out six months after [the PS5 exclusivity period ends]?” Yoshida said about the speculation of the possible release of Final Fantasy XVI on other platforms in a recent intervention during a Japanese streaming portal known as Niconico. “Don’t worry about this, buy a PS5! ” The producer concluded. Taking these statements, at the moment we cannot confirm that Final Fantasy XVI will reach other systems after its passage through PS5 as it happened in the past with Final Fantasy VII Remake, which debuted exclusively for PS4, although it was later released on PC.
Everything we know so far about Final Fantasy XVI
Whether it lives up to the expectations of the team, which talks about showing the ‘true potential of PS5 hardware ‘, remains to be seen, but a look at Final Fantasy XVI ‘s evolution from its introduction to the latest trailer shows just how much better it has been in terms of graphics and setting since its presentation. The lighting, the spectacularity of the invocations, the absence of charges and the fantastic art direction of this medieval fantasy have silenced the criticism that was heard at the beginning.
