Fallout series produced by Amazon will not adapt the video games history
Todd Howard assures that the Fallout series will take place in the same universe as the games, in fact, there will be references, although the story will be completely independent.
Todd Howard, CEO of Bethesda and executive producer of the Fallout adaptation that will hit the small screen through Amazon Prime Video , comments in a recent intervention on Lex Fridman’s podcast that the series “will not take the story of any video game ” of the saga, so we can deduce that it will have a plot with completely new characters, although it will take place in the same world. Roughly speaking, Howard confirms that there will be hidden references and Easter eggs for lovers of the post-apocalyptic series, although the series is being produced with the idea that everyone can understand it.
“We’re going to tell a story that fits into the world we’ve built, that doesn’t break any of the rules, that references things from the games, but isn’t a reiteration of the games, ” Howard explains. “It exists in the same world, but it’s kind of unique, so it adds to it. Also, people who haven’t played the games, who can’t experience how great Fallout is, can watch the series. When people I wanted to make a movie, they wanted to tell the story of Fallout 3 or tell the story of Fallout 4, and it was meh. So this was, ‘hey, let’s do something that exists within the world of Fallout ,’” he adds.
The first images of the filming of the series
Despite the fact that, at the moment, specific details of the series are unknown beyond Howard’s comments or some of the supporting actors, at the end of October we were able to see a first official image as part of the celebration for the 25th anniversary from the series On the other hand, in recent months there have been numerous leaks from the filming set that show some of its settings, such as the exterior of a Super Duper Mart or the interior of a shelter.
