Disney Speedstorm the free racing game is delayed to 2023

Gameloft’s competition with Disney and Pixar characters will have to wait a bit; Disney Speedstorm this ‘free to play’ will not arrive this year.
Gameloft Barcelona, responsible for the Asphalt series, has announced that the free2play Disney Speedstorm kart game is delayed to 2023. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC, and the absence of a clear release date suggested that it still needed a little more time.
“We’ve worked to create an incredible speed experience with Disney Speedstorm , capturing our vision of the exciting magic fans will experience with their favorite Disney and Pixar characters . We want fans to be entertained and have fun with fast, competitive racing at the ones that will play again for years to come,” says the Disney Speedstorm team.
After thinking about it, they decide to delay its release “to meet our expectations and give players a more immersive experience, customization content, games and more.” They also appreciate the feedback and feedback received with this year’s beta, and will report back on progress regularly.

Disney characters warm up engines
In our time limited time with beta, of course it points to very good manners: simple and addictive arcade gameplay, spectacularity, and if the seasons provide enough variety of clues or characters, an almost endless list of familiar faces driving vehicles. Will it have enough support after launch? Will it at some point force excessive retesting or real money payments? Can it become a pay-to-win? Those are the only doubts we could have about a title that otherwise seems to deliver what it promises.
