Dead Island 2 suffered a new delay a few days ago and will now arrive on April 28. After so many years of waiting for this open world adventure, it is nearing at the end of its development, and Deep Silver will have a new opportunity to show the title with a new presentation that will be held on December 6.

The broadcast can be followed on the official YouTube channel and the only thing we know about this content is that it will include “action, gore and zombies”, that is, a new look at its gameplay. The project passed hands between various studios and underwent reboots until the Dambuster Studios presented it this summer, a game which transports us to a Los Angeles absolutely devastated by zombies, and of course our goal will be to kill them in the most violent ways possible.
In Dead Island 2 we will have to learn to control this curious virus that has wiped out humanity and discover little by little what we have become, while we crush, hit and tear apart all the enemies that we find on the city streets. We will be able to use elements such as fire, water or electricity to kill the zombies, and even combine them to create traps.
Dead Island 2 doesn’t pretend to reinvent the wheel, and neither did its predecessor, an almost unexpected success that demonstrated the importance of a good trailer in a game’s marketing campaign. But we certainly had a great time with this short demo although he was made clear to us that at the level of exploration and development we are not going to see anything too original.
