The digital presentation Dead Island 2 from Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios has revealed new zombie-filled Los Angeles environments, and an option to control the game with Alexa.

The publisher Deep Silver and the development studio Dambuster Studios have broadcast Dead Island 2 Showcase this Tuesday, December 6, a digital event where they have shown a new trailer with gameplay of the first-person action game with zombies and RPG touches, and where they have revealed that the game will have compatibility with Amazon Alexa on PC and Xbox.

The gameplay that you can see, presents some of the scenarios that the players will go through in a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles full of zombies that they have decided to call Los Diablos, and that it will not be an open world, but a series of wide levels. During these phases, and especially within the homes of the wealthy of Los Angeles, they will find themselves with a wide arsenal of customizable melee and ranged weapons.

Weapons will be essential to kill (or finish off) the living dead that roam the streets, beaches, swimming pools and abandoned amusement parks. There will be, as seen in the video, zombies of different types , with various powers and resistances and weaknesses that can be used creatively. Of course, the protagonists Jacob and Amy, always on the edge of death and resurrection, will also be able to momentarily use zombie powers.

In addition to more demonstrations of the “Fully Localized Evisceration System for Humanoids” (or FLESH), i.e. the techniques used to render the game’s exaggerated gore, Dambuster Studio has also announced that Dead Island 2 will be compatible with Alexa Game Control, which, like a Kinect, will allow you to call zombies, change weapons and other actions; the feature will be exclusive to the Xbox and PC versions, only in English, and will be available in the UK, US and Canada.

Dead Island 2 will be released on April 28 for PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One and PC exclusively for the Epic Games Store.
