Beyond Good and Evil 2 still in an early stage of development
People who have allegedly participated in the tests of Beyond Good and Evil 2 this summer say that Ubisoft could have restarted the development of the game.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 is already one of the video games with the longest development in history, surpassing even the famous Duke Nukem Forever. However, the Ubisoft project could continue still as a early stage creation. This is confirmed by various sources collected by the Insider Gaming website, which has had contact with people who have been able to access preliminary versions of the game in recent months.
This summer Ubisoft has organized several external tests of Beyond Good and Evil 2 that have allowed testers to get their hands on the game for the first time. Some of these people reportedly contacted Insider Gaming anonymously to explain that the game is still very early in its development; in fact, they say that even Ubisoft insisted a lot during the test that the game still has work ahead of it.
Has development of Beyond Good and Evil 2 been restarted ?
According to what these sources say, the version of Beyond Good and Evil 2 that they have been able to test would still be very green, with a setting that is practically not detailed. In fact, from the medium that collects these statements they claim to have been able to see images and recordings taken by the testers (which they have not been able to share so as not to violate confidentiality agreements) and their condition leads them to think that development could have been restarted since we were able to see its gameplay in 2018 due to the low level of detail.
Obviously this information has not been denied or confirmed by Ubisoft, which continues without offering news about this expected project. What we do know is that during the last two years the company has continued to hire staff for the development of Beyond Good and Evil 2, including a change of main writer this summer.
