Assassin’s Creed Mirage Could Have A Release on August 2023
Assassin’s Creed Mirage aiming to release August 2023, Project Red facing development issues, Hexe development going well
There is not much currently known about the release date of Assassin’s Creed Mirage other than the vague date of 2023 set in its first trailer. However, from Insider Gaming we learned that the game is still set to be released in August. Naturally, the date is tentative and subject to change, but the August date should be the first of the year, where the game was delayed twice. It was originally supposed to be a holiday release this year, then it got internally delayed to early 2023, then Ubisoft delayed it out of the fiscal year in their financial call, and since then it has seemingly been delayed again to August. So overall its release has been pushed by 9 months as far as we are aware.
The 2023 date has already signaled a move from the current two-year gap between games. But, the August target shows that we could get Mirage three years after Valhalla if it is delayed again in a few months.
With Assassin’s Creed Mirage on both previous-gen and current-gen consoles, it can cause problems due to hardware limitations. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is scheduled for release in 2023 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. The game will be smaller than a traditional Assassin’s Creed title and will cost $49.99 for the standard edition. The source couldn’t provide an update on why Assassin’s Creed Mirage was delayed in the Ubisoft back room twice, but has provided updates on some of the other Assassin’s Creed titles. One of the main things mentioned is that Assassin’s Creed Project Red has development problems. It was reported by TheGamer in September that employees were leaving the project due to allegations of abuse.
On the other hand, it is reported that Project Hexe has been accepted at a critical level during the proof-of-concept process and that it may start full production soon. Regarding the release dates, sources say that Red is being released in 2024 and Hexe in 2026, but due to Red’s current problems, it is unclear if those dates will or can be pushed back; but we wouldn’t be surprised if Red goes all the way to 2025, and let’s cross our fingers that it is not.
From what we know Mirage is the Iraq/Baghdad, starring Basim. Red Project is the Japan and Hexe is supposed to be set during the witch hunts in medieval Europe.
