ArcheAge 2 Coming to PC & NextGEn Consoles in 2024 and will be Developed in Unreal Engine 5

Both its publisher, Kakao Games, as well as its developer, XLGAMES, have presented to the world the first trailer for ArcheAge 2, the sequel to the Korean MMORPG that was published in Western territory back in 2014 and with this sequel it intends to go much further with everything that made its predecessor successful, as well as other innovations, such as powerful visuals under Unreal Engine 5.

“We mainly focused on action-packed combat, as well as producing an immersive story. Our goal is to achieve AAA -level graphics with Unreal Engine 5 and aim to deliver a non-linear, progression-based open-world experience.

ArcheAge 2 shares the same lore as ArcheAge I, however the story progression is not the same. While ArcheAge I focuses on a narrative story, ArcheAge II will focus more on adventures and personal stories. It has a similar timeline to ArcheAge I.

It will portray a period when Auroria was first discovered and people are starting to settle there. The plot will consist of discovering and solving the mysteries of an ancient civilization that has been forgotten for thousands of years, allowing it to blend in with the natural environment.

The trailer that you can enjoy below also showcases a ship, and while it wasn’t explicitly mentioned, sailing has always been one of the most attractive elements of the original ArcheAge, so hopefully, it’ll play a big role in the new game as well.

Players can trade races alone, as a team, or in raids. In addition, the housing system will be enhanced and expanded in this sequel.
You can play the original ArcheAge, which is still available in its ArcheAge: Unchained form both in North America and Europe. It’s available only for PC, so the console release of its sequel will be a first for the franchise.
The ArcheAge 2 release date has been estimated for sometime in 2024 and will be coming to both PC as well as Next-Gen consoles. Specific consoles and a exact release date were not announced.
