Rumor has it that there would be two new Alien games on the way: a triple-A survival horror inspired by Resident Evil and Dead Space (arriving in late 2023), and a sequel to Alien Isolation.

New rumors suggest that the Alien saga could receive new games soon. Insider Tom Henderson has assured that sources close to the projects have confirmed that there would be at least two installments on the way: one of them would be a triple A survival horror that would be released at the end of 2023, and another would be a sequel to Alien Isolation, which would be in the initial phases of its development or even in the process of conceptualization.

Regarding the first rumored project, that survival horror Alien, Henderson says that it is a game very inspired by the remakes of Resident Evil and Dead Space, although it has not revealed which studio would be in charge of it. Sources have confirmed that it is currently in development with a view to being released sometime around Christmas 2023, so a priori it shouldn’t take long for us to hear about it officially.

Is there a new Alien: Isolation on the way?

Regarding Alien Isolation 2, the supposed sequel to the acclaimed Creative Assembly game, the insider assures that his sources have told him that the game exists, although it is not specified if it is already in the initial steps of its development or if, on the contrary, it is still in process of presenting ideas. They do seem to assume that Creative Assembly will be the studio in charge of retaking the reins of the sequel. It should be remembered that today the Alien license belongs to Disney, a company that last year was said to be already working on Alien: Isolation 2.

At the moment, all this information is pure “rumorology”. The only thing we officially know about this saga is that there are two Alien games on the way: one of them is Aliens, an action-horror adventure for one player developed by the Californian studio Survios, and another is Aliens: Dark Descent, an isometric shooter from Focus Entertainment and Tindalos Interactive. Both will be published by 20th Century Games, owned by Disney.
